Review - Please try to include as many details as you can: This guitar is based on the old Gibson D-series jazz guitars, with a 10.5cm deep hollow hardwood body, with a sunburst finish ash top and 2 bound f-holes. 20 fret maple neck, rosewood fretboard with block inlays. Dual humbuckers, die cast machine heads, floating tunomatic style bridge and a harp tailpiece.
Overall, this guitar is a joy to play, it\'s maybe a touch lightweight but beautifully balanced. The dual humbuckers aren't the fattest, brightest I've ever heard, but they are more than adequate. More importantly for me, they are silent when used to record to my pc, no matter how much distortion I use. The weakest parts are the tone pots, they're a bit 'all or nothing' in use. The finish was near flawless, and the action great out of the box. There were a couple of fret buzzes, but nothing that couldn't easily be fixed. The pickups were correctly balanced and the intonation was spot on.
Rating: 10
Additional Comments/Final Verdict: If anyone reading this has ever fancied a budget big body jazz type guitar, the Wesley EX100os will be perfect. I would have been satisfied had I paid the full list price of £179, but to get one for £70.77 (not inc delivery of £15.25) thro' Wesleys ebay auctions is an amazing bargain. This is my third guitar from Wesley and the quality/value for money ratio has been the same for each one. Highly recommended.
