Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: I have to admit. I was surprised at just how nicely this guitar plays. I have been away from playing awhile. I started playing again with an American Deluxe Strat. Wanted a harder sound, so I bought the UM-3. When I was in to it big time, some years ago Korean guitars sucked for the most part.
This is a nice playing guitar! The sweetest part is the neck. Smooth an easy to play. No fret out. Perfect size frets. I would put the playing characteristics up against anything up to $1500 American or otherwise. The body is on the thin side and is very light! No problem gigging with this one. Lether hang for hours. The quilt top is flawless, as is all the details. Grover tuners keep things in tune. The Duncan designed pick ups are a rockers dream. SERIOUS sustain. Though the tone is a bit on the dark side. If you are doing the power chord/rock thing you will love it. The only down side I can find is the pots. Tone control is nearly null. No "BRIGHT and LITE" tones come out of this axe with out amp tweaking. For the $$$$ I am very, very pleased. I have to say with no hesitation. buy this guitar if you in the market for this style. You will not be sorry! PS; I SCORED thank you on EBAY. Brand new for $255..Worth the $500 street price. Shop around and find it cheaper. All the online stores are asking $499.
Rating (On a Scale of 1-10): 9
Additional Comments/Final Verdict: If the tone controls were more effective I would rate her a 10++. I am MORE than happy for the money!
