Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: after playing the guitar for several years and comparing to my american stratocasters i would have to say this is a beginers guitar who is aspiring for the sound of the american stratocaster. the guitar is built and wired virtually the same. the difference..... the fret board of the mexican has 21 thin frets. the american has 22 taller wider frets meaning longer lasting when set up, pending playing styles. there is also a neck tilt adjustment on the american strat where the mexican doesn't have one. i have set the mexican up to have a super fast low string action. it can hold 10's easily and does produce very distictive stratocaster tones. it in my opinion is far more bang for the buck than the american version. best bet is to buy a mexican and transplant an american neck on it. they are identical in feel.
Rating (On a Scale of 1-10): 8 Additional Comments/Final Verdict: guitar is great for the price. always keep an eye out for an american neck when one comes available.
