Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: I found this great 40 watt, classic sounding, all tube amp, in a little shop recently. It was used and had been painted black. I recovered it with the vintage gold tweed it was meant to have, as well as the ox blood grill cloth. Pretty cheap to do and not hard at all. Thank god for spray on contact cement! Been looking for a tube amp worth spending a little money on, for a couple of years. Just wasn't satisfied. Then I found the Blues Delux. It's got a super sweet sound. I bought some new tubes through Torres Engineering in Cal. Really perked the tone up a bunch. The reverb is springy sounding, but not bad. I run it through some effects devices I have, and the reverb cleans up real well. This amp is very powerful for only 40 watts. I can't turn it up to high, the walls shake and my wife yells at me when things start falling off the walls in the adjoining rooms. This amp has all the basic controls you need. A clean channel as well. Vintage Fender speaker. My amp is the early 1990's model. I also own a 120 watt Behringer modeling amp. Stereo, dual 12" Jensens. Very, very powerful and very clean. I hardley use it anymore. The Blues Deluxe has a much, thicker, warmer, sweeter sound. Turn up the drive, and I get that old school dirty sound. Get some volume cranking, and I can feel that powerful punch you get, right in the chest, when you hit those power notes. This baby resonates your bones if you want it to. Fantastic for blues. If you find a used one of these, snatch it up. Well worth the $300 or so you'll pay for it.
Rating (On a Scale of 1-10): 10
Additional Comments/Final Verdict: I love this... willl keep in my collection of 6 guitars and two amps, forever. Beautiful, classic Fender, vintage sound. Love it especially with my Parker P38 and my Les Paul with the 2 meg pots.
