Digitech RP7 - Review

Type of Gear: Guitar Effects

Brand Name: Digitech

Model: RP7

Price: $300 (when bought new)

Review: I bought the Digitech RP7 back in '97-98 and have been using it ever since. The combinations of effects are too numerous to list here, but there is a pitch shifter whammy pedal, which can be used as a wah and volume pedal as well. Four foot switches can be used to switch between effects, and you can can combine up to nine effects at once. It allows you to record sections of your favorite songs and slow them down to 1/2 speed, although I have software that does this a lot more effectively. There is also a harmonizer and play-along feature. All in all, it pretty much accomplishes anything you could ask of it. The only thing I don't like is that its not very intuitive to program...you have to go through a lot of steps to get what you want out of the effects youuse.

Rating (On a Scale of 1-10): 10

Additional Comments/Final Verdict: Easily recommended if you could find it for a good used price, otherwise you might take a look at some of their new pedals.
