Digitech RP350 - Review
Type Of Gear: Guitar Effects
Brand Name: Digitech
Model: RP350
Price: $180.00US
Review - Please try to include as many details as you can: What attracted me to this unit were the facts that it had a USB I/O jack, L/R XLR outs for use as a DI box. The unit promises 110 different FX simulations. In addition, digitech offers software with the promise of allowing the user to edit patches on computer and swapping settings via USB connection.
Unfortunately, this unit does not deliver as promised. After less than two hours of light use the unit shot craps--it froze up right in the middle of editing a patch--not only could I not edit the patch, I couldn\'t switch to another patch, and when I attempted reset it by unplugging it (why those electronic geniuses in Salt Lake City seem to be unable to grasp the basic concept of an on/off switch is a mystery to me--the Japanese have mastered the concept and include one on even the most basic Zoom pedals) and then plugging it back in--it would be right at the patch where it froze up.
Rating: 1
Additional Comments/Final Verdict: The MSRP on this unit is $399.99. Most of the catalog dealers show a street price of half the MSRP. Frankly, this would be a waste of money at $9.95. They should pay people to take these off their hands.
