Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: I've had this guitar for a year and have been very pleased. It still looks stunning in the Tiger Eye finish and it plays even better. First let's dispense with the specs: Zebra pups, Grover Tuners, mahogany body with maple top, rosewood fingerboard, beautiful mop bow-tie shaped inlays, Tune-o-matic bridge, and nickel hardware. The appearance drew me to the model and the many favorable reviews that I read on the internet convinced me. I couldn't find one locally so no way to demo one. I had a rough start when I first got the guitar: internet purchase, Bracco Music in New York. Several defects which I suspect ....I won't say. Dean service; it took a while to fix after I sent the guitar to the factory but they fixed it and shipped it at their expense. Once I got it back and got the action set up to my liking, my irritation turned into love! The guitar can play. The sustain is incredible. Blues-rock, Texas blues, rock all sound great with this guitar. Crank up the distortion and Satisfaction sounds just like when Keith Richards plays it. The guitar will also reproduce a swamp-rock, CCR sound nicely. The instrument also stays in tune for a good long time. The only minor annoyance that I've had over the last year is that the volume pot needs regular attention as far as keeping the connection clean to prevent cut-out of sound at low volume settings. I live in a very dry climate so this is little suprising. I still love this guitar and it plays like a guitar two or three times its price. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat! If you're a beginner spend a few extra dollars and get a guitar like this. Not only will you want to play it more because it looks so good but it will enhance your playing. If you're experienced and looking for a moderately priced guitar that plays above it's level this is for you.
Rating (On a Scale of 1-10): 10
Additional Comments/Final Verdict: 5 stars out of five even with the minor problems. The sound and appearance are worth it.
