Behringer FX100 Multi-FX Review
Type Of Gear: Guitar Effects
Brand Name: Behringer
Model: FX100 Multi-FX
Price: $29.99
Review - Please try to include as many details as you can: I purchased this in conjunction with the DD100 Digital Delay to replace a problematic Alesis GuitarFX.
PROS: Six Different FX available: Delay, Pitch Shift, Tremolo, Phaser, Chorus, Flanger. Easy to change FX types and settings by turning knobs.
CONS: Where to begin? First, the settings cannot be stored for recall. Secondly, to switch between FX types and settings, one has to stop to turn knobs and check to see how each change sounds to find a satisfactory setting. Thirdly, only one effect at a time can be used. Fourth, the construction of this unit, is flimsy at best--this unit is a starter for hobbyists on a budget--not for serious working musicians. Finally, the battery changing procedure is an invitation to a short existence for this unit--it involves prying off the pedal/switch to access the battery compartment. If one is going to have multiple FX, s/he will be better off purchasing one that allows for storage of settings for recall later. I\'m saving up for a Yamaha MagicStomp.

Additional Comments/Final Verdict: Save your $$ for a Digitech, Zoom, Korg or Yamah unit.
