Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: Honestly,this guy at the Guitar Outlet in Carousel Mall, Syracuse, was going to cheat me by selling me this guitar for about $250. I admit, the sound of the guitar was amazing and had a crispy twang that sounded so beautiful, BUT in reality, the guitar wasn't worth $250. If anything, you should be paying about $150 or less for the guitar and hardshell case. This dreadnought, smoothly laminated top acoustic guitar is full of sound that belongs to a Martin, but you must realize that for a low-price guitar, it will not always be in the same condition that you first bought it. Since this guitar is low-priced, it will easily bend and warp if you change the gauge of the guitar strings, so keep it on 12 if you can. Also, the sound will only be as good as a Martin guitar if you put Elixir strings on it, otherwise, the sound will not sound as bright and clean. Remember, expect a great sound from this guitar first time around, but as soon as a year goes by, you'll begin to understand what separates low-price guitars with high-price ones.

Review - Please try to include as many specific details as you can: My daughter's RD8 spent a year in the attic in its case. We loosened all the strings per the teacher's recommendation. The high E was replaced with a non-descript string and it was re-tuned last month. The instrument still holds its deep rich tone. The teacher did an inspection and discovered no cracks,separations or warps. The bridge is still firmly attached. I think this is a wonderful instrument for the price and definitely has a better sound than other guitars in the same price range.
